    Hello all,

Passed Belgian MOT ( Technical Control ) today without any problem !
The painted calipers with Audi rings decals seem to have served their camouflage purpose !
The controler did pause a long time next to the calipers on the underside of the car, gave me suspicious look, asked if I had recently painted the calipers then just moved on to check other stuff ! Pffewwww !

    All's well that ends well.

      Nice,

So they did notice ... or didn't but don't care about that.

Good news for me as I haven't been there with new callipers yet ... :-)

Well, I'm quite sure they didn't think the calipers were from a Porsche or else I suspect the controller would have failed the car so as I know that your calipers still have Porsche written on them, you might want to reconsider painting them. I have a contact that can repaint the calipers for you for 30 Euros.

I'll give you the Audi rings decals if you want as I still have some left over. ;-)

        Take care, Marc-Henri !

David! Question from a fellow Yank on your great brake conversion....

Where did you get the adapter plate from? If you had it made, where did you get the schematic to give to a machinst? We guys in the States are always looking for ways to upgrade our CQ's.

Bry was it hard too make?

What did you use as material and a guide to get it straight and true? Very nice job I must say.

                  Hi Gerald,

The brake pads are standard 996 Textar pads from a Porsche dealership. When I bought them, the guy at the counter actually told me that they're also 996 Bi-Turbo REAR brake pads
The Bi-turbo front pads must be HUGE !

                  HTH !
