      Very nice.

Did the Seat brackets not have a gold-ish coating on them? All the ones I've seen have come colour passivated (sic?)

        Jas.

The Seat brackets did have a coating but i have had to machine them and not sure if the 'raw' faces will corode or not. Dont want to lather two pack on them either as any thickness of paint may effect fit.

I coating of a good etch primer should be enough on the bare machined faces, though they aren't going to be rusting through quickly
Damned hard stuff those Seat brackets are made of, I burnt out one cutting tip (had to use a ceraminc tipped one instead) whilst machining Si's (HPmuirt's) for him.
Mine are an exact copy of the Seat, but made of EN8 tooled steel and I just sprayed them with a couple of coats of etch primer. Still look good there now even after 12months of use.

Thought about etch but the tart in me was screaming out for some kind of electro-plating, will probably end up with etch though

The original SEAT brackets have a zinc passivate finish, this is a sacrifical surface treatment, this is designed to corrode and form a protective barrier and hence prevent the underlying metal from corroding. If you have removed this finish you risk it rusting.

I can get them replated for you, if you want???

He is a top painter, i did the prep, just a quick scotchbrite off and a degrease then he threw on a light coat of etch and two or three of brembo red, job in the town! Expect if you had a batch you wanted doing he would happily oblige.

Want to buy em back, i have it on good authority that they are worth 350 all day long now Joking wont sell em now, thanks again for your help sourcing bits

Spraying is much better bro, the finish is factory. Brushing is very difficult to get to look good. Just my opinion.

Brushing is no problem. I used Hammerite on mine and got a very smooth finish. The only thing is, I would advise letting the paint cure for about 2 months before you handle them.

Here's one picture I have to hand:
