Shorter springs will normally be stiffer and will therefore need stiffer shocks (more damping) to control them.
Lowering alone is for looks, doesn't really help handling, traction, ground clearance or ride quality, you wouldn't want to drive the Rusper road on lowered H&Rs Stevie

Shocks now, thats a different story..

@ newsh... u sure u know what u are saying? cause a lower car = lower sense of gravity = prevents car roll and helps traction to a certain degree ....

I was also referring to possibly the h&R springs wit bilstein arrangement .. would it be cheaper than the ones above?... if about the same ... which is better?

Newsh is right Chris you need uprated shocks to go with lowered springs else the shocks go toast in no time as they get overworked.

Ill get saving, probably go for the koni and h+r setup as thats what i have on my UR and that works well.
@Dan,the tyres are 225/45/17. What tyre pressure should i run these at?

Yeah but when you fit lowered springs onto stock shocks you take the shocks past their optimum working range, so yes you may have lowered its CofG but your damping will not be matched to the spring rates.
That is why I only ever advise people to use Koni's and H&R's as these 2 products are designed and tested on the vehicles that they are designed for, rather than what some other manufacturers do and just take the stock items specification and change that by 25-30% to uprate their product and do no dynamic testing of their product.
