ok guys...
So after working through a seemingly never ending list of problems and warning lights the beast just flew through its MOT
I had quite an issue with corroded terminals and mild oxidisation to some of the bulb holders on the rear light bulb holder units...
So I revamped them , All new rear bulbs, sorted a variety of electrical niggles out and all lights now working fine...
Autocheck does the brake symbol on startup....press pedal..it goes and is replaced with the OK symbol.
But turn the lights on and I get the "bulb failure" warning lamp (handbook says "dipped headlights or rear lights" even though both Headlights visually work fine and both rear lights do too??!
In fact I (with the help of a friend) tested just about every combination of lights on the car...including foglights etc.
All working fine. Checked fuses and as expected all was ok.
Does anyone have an idea if a "dodgy" headlight bulb could be causing this...as in it works but trips autocheck on??
Also, how can I check the autocheck system is not at fault in terms of how it monitors the front and rear lights?
All ideas and suggestions welcomed
THANKS
