    330mmx30mm replacement discs

Started looking for replacement discs for the Alcon setup , 330X30mm, pcd : 12 x ?, still to correctly measure it, as you can imagine dealing with Alcon for replacements ain't easy , even if you actually manage to get through, so far they've quoted
£270 per disc , they're obselete and would have to be made specially for me as a one off.

I was wondering if any of the brake 'experts' Corey, Bry etc could recommend any particular places where I could source a 330/30, I know I could go up/down disc size,
but the caliper is spec'd to take the 30mm disc with the 16mm narrow pad , and I'd rather keep it as original as possible,

Also was thinking about getting new bells/hats (whatever your prefer !), is there a 'rule of thumb' as far as dimensions offset/size goes ???

Any info/advice/help would be great, didn't realise I'd been giving the brakes such a hard time , but the picture shows different

    cheers

I've got some AP Racing disks that are 330x27mm (ex 28mm) 12x8" PCD. If that helps you.

Get in touch with BGdevelopments in bromsgrove, they helped get custom bells made for my AP discs to suit and they can probably supply suitable discs for your bells and they will def be less than £270 each

Thanks for all replies on this (still waiting on a few places getting back to me), in the meantime I've been looking into DBA (Disc brakes Australia) products, anybody have experience of these ?

DBA have some pretty cool stuff. I haven't any driving experience with them but they helped me out with my dissertation. They have some pretty impressive casting techniques which produces their 'kangaroo paw' design.

This is all waffle though as I've never actually used them in anger

              Hi Guys,
I can vouch for DBA with regard to reputation, they are good to deal with, fast service (locally at least) and used by many aftermarket tuners and also as OEM.
My Audi mechanic has fitted loads of them and only has positive feedback.
I considered fitting a pair but went all out in the end and bought genuine Porsche with custom Billzcat hats for my GT3 calipers.
I'd be interested to know what prices you've been quoted for them, as I can get them at trade price.

Just need to figure out where to get the right bobbins/bolts, also got a seal kit, might need a wee hand stripping and rebuilding the B-types though

nice new discs, the old ones do look abused. Just wondering has the car been sat these 2months with the brakes in bits or has the car had things done while it was off the road :mischeif: n/m still at last there here.

                            I may have confused you

The picture shows a new OEM disc for comparison, some of us only have the one car so been driving with the originals till they new ones were done

I ended up selling my Alcons and running with the Porsche 996 calipers. The Alcons were just too much hassle for a daily driver.

Great brakes, but a pain in the butt (and wallet) when it comes to maintenance.
