  • Brakes gone.

    Hello,

I have recently problem with brakes.
After boost brakes are hard been always but now i have other problem also. Now even when i brake sometimes pedal is hard or if its not and i repress pedal it goes hard and need to press brakes with to legs to stop
I have vacuum brake system. We have checked that little valve but this looks ok. So it looks i have to change brake booster?
If i have to change that then is there better options than B4 booster? Or how can i be sure its brake booster problem?

I have in my warehouse booster as in pictures. But i cant find that this coded booster will go to my S2.

    Many thanks for help!

Have some one installed that brake servo to his car? Its two chamber on and it looks like its S4 one.

I had similar symptoms on mine, the vacuum booster has a leak. I fitted a new one and it's been fine ever since.

Not good coming off boost to find you have no brakes!

There is also an o-ring seal between master cylinder and booster / servo which can leak.

Run the engine then switch off and see if you can hear a hiss sound, or use leak detection spray, or vacuum tester

Looks like one of the boost pipes, I would fix regardless. You have some play so may be able to cut end and refit

I made bigger picture. The blue hose is below valve. Does this hose effects fuel pressure?
                            And hose already fixed.
Can someone knows what did hose effects?
