I tried using my Eezibleed kit on my S2 with no success. I did it the old fashioned way and had no problems. The A3 is a completely different story.
Any bleeding experts ?

That just seconds to my story. Maybe brake pads need to sit in place somehowI have had this on a 3B before, Spent hours bleeding the rear, but if you put your foot on the brake the rear wheels would still turn. Bleeding all 4 brakes manually improved this a bit, then it just got better by being driven, around 10 miles later it was spot on. Never really understood why, my guess is air trapped in the master, with the power servo running it might help it clear?

You just take some stick (i use small snow brum) and some piece of clean cloth to cover the seat. Not necessary to push pedal very hard, it is enough as seat springs.
Don't know if you understand what I've just said, but hope you get the idea
.
EDIT: here is a picture.

The main idea is that seat soft side, generates enough pressure to the pedal to bleed some fluid. When combined with pressure bleeder such technique gives good results (at least for myself, when working alone in the garage
). Soft and clean thing is for not to damage seat itself. If you use some metal bar, it can damage seat due to small area.
So whole process looks like this (sounds a bit stupid, but works):
0. Fill brake fluid container to the top
1. You pressurize brake fluid cointainer (usually I push only ~0.5 bar) with some device (self made, or some easybleed and like stuff).
2. Bleed caliper.
3. Pump pedal with with foot, and fix it with device mentioned above (just replace your foot with the stick, broom, whatever fits there right).
4. Rebleed caliper (tiny amount of fluid).
5. Repeat for all calipers.

Don't understand the last post at all... BUt to the previous one... The new pads are well seated - the handbrake works perfectly on 4 clicks.
Somehow the eezibleed has munged my brakes - that *was* the only Gunsons tool that I ever had any respect for but I'm going to forget about for the S2. Damn thing.
WOnt get a look at this until the weekend

I've had my easybleed for years and it works a treat, you have to blead all 4 corners though I fear.
You did say the new calipers have a larger piston, this will take more pedal travel in itself no?
Sau was suggesting you use a broom to hold the pedal down wedged agaist the seat back

Paul your handbrake should work on 1 click, or 2, not 4. I think there's something more sinister going on here as that's not even related to the hydraulics. I have used Ezibleed many times with no problems whatsoever.Ex S2 owner, now running around in an A4 Avant quattro...

My hand brake with new discs and pads and bled is on 2 clicks (3 if you go bananas...)

Agreed....My ezibleed is spot on too. Never had a problem since I bought it. All 4 corners need bleeding though I think.I've had my easybleed for years and it works a treat, you have to blead all 4 corners though I fear.

You been doing some work then Steve?
Given that Ben has huge brakes on the front, and big 'uns on the back too now, and hasn't reported any issues with travel, I suspect that the larger piston area isn't a problem (or at least I hope so as this is on my list "to do").AUDI - saving Dad's from minivans since 1994

On my setup the pedal travel is more than standard but is in no means excessive. I think the problem with Paul's car is going to be down to a bleeding issue. I would rebleed the whole system and try again.
I think people are putting too much emphasis on the handbrake. Mine takes about 10 clicks on brand new handbrake cables at the moment. Fitting bigger rear brakes alters the handbrake cable tension so this accounts for the small amount of extra travel Paul has.

Master cylinder is fine - never had a problem there. Maybe I've ingested air into the master somehow... I'll just bleed the whole ****** lot again - all corners !
As to 4 clicks on the handbrake - oh well should I be punished for it not working on 1 or 2 clicks?
Jees guys I was lying under the car on wet tarmac with one axle stand holding it up and I just backed off the adjuster nut on the hbrake cable to give me enough slack to fit cable onto caliper.... Please excuse me if I can wait until the brakes are bedded in properly and then I can revisit the hbrake adjuster for operation on fewer clicks (if I can be arsed) but its hardly relevant.Paul Nugent

Sorry Paul, it was no slight on you. I was under the impression that you could not adjust the cable and a large number of clicks was worn discs / pads....
We were not getting at you!
