....make sure you clean and lube them every 6 months.
I spent last weekend replacing the rear discs and pads and doing the usual unsieze of the carrier pins as they seem to get worse with time and eventually stop working properly.
Having completed that job i thought i would just check everything was free up front on the monoblocks......what a state
Whilst they obviously were slowing the car down they werent as good as i remembered and no suprise, the ds2500 dust quite a bit and the pads basically had stopped moving well enough to contact the discs and there was kak everywhere, all over the pad retaining pin (to the point where it wouldn't come out and all over the pegs which the pads rest against)
After a proper clean up and plenty of slip they are back to their former glory, jeez do they haul up now
I'll definately be doing this every 6 months or so from now on, couldnt believe how bad they had got.
I'd have taken some pics but the cam is out of action at the moment...
