DS2500 Have I got the wrong pads??

These look different to my old ones, they dont have the metal pins sticking up.

From my expierence, those metal thingys are some sort anti squeak dampers. Racing pads are allowed to squeak, that's why, they have no those metal thingys.

yep look fine, my 2500 pads dont have the balance/anti vibration weights on them, i think only the porsche/textar ones have them.

I was wondering what those metal bits could be for, I thought perhaps they would come together just before the pads wear out and stop you wrecking your discs, but then they would stop the pads from biting and you'd have no brakes.. so maybe not.

Well they were the wrong ones, for the early Boxter and slightly smaller.. so I dropped them back to the supplier today (who was very helpful) and he'll be shipping me the correct ones asap. I'll post the part number when they arrive.
