After a couple of recent episodes (links to other threads) with my brakes, I need to make changes to get the reliability up and the cost (overall) down.
I've currently got the Mov'it setup (link to example). These (if I remember correctly) are a 993TT caliper mounted using a custom (?) Mov'it carrier, with 993TT discs on a custom Mov'it bell.
It's fair to say that while the stopping power is good, it ain't the cheapest setup in the world to maintain. I know that the nice Mr. Corey can do a (much!) better deal on replacement discs and pads than Mov'it's UK distributor, but am wondering if there are even cheaper things that can be done.
So the questions...
Ck.

So the questions...
- keeping the calipers and carriers the way they are, can different (and cheaper) discs be used?
- keeping the calipers but changing to different carriers (as a one off cost), can different (and cheaper) discs be used?
- any other suggestions?
Ck.
