    Front braided lines - CQ20

I'm refurbing my front brakes on the CQ and after replacing the rear lines with braided items, i wanted to treat the front to the same.... i'm a little confused though... as on my CQ the front solid line comes out into the wheel arch, connects to a flexi line, then to another solid line around the strut, then to another flexi line to the caliper

will a Vagparts braided kit for the front replace both these flexi lines and the solid pipe, or just the lower flexi line to the caliper? Seems a bit pointless replacing just one part of the old rubber hoses

    can anyone enlighen me?

    cheers

From memory it replaces it but i cant remember the combination. I think they just have braided pipes to the strut hardline and then to the hardline on the arch.

        Well...

Yes, two lines per side as on my 90 fwd, got mine made by Merlin Motorsport at CC.

Ring Vagparts and ask 2 , or 4 lines per kit. You need 4 really.

              and...

cut the lines with the thinnest grinding disc you can find in a dremel tool. SS are nice but v.expensive, plated will rust after a bit and alloy only on race cars or showy ones that dont really get driven anywhere!

Or Pirtek, they do lots of goodies.
