    The ring is pressfitted and total amount of metal is as thick(or even thicker) then the original housing. Don't think there will be a problem, but can't be 100% sure.

    I thought it was a works in progress photograph. I have seen some very poor conversions done on brakes and suspension on Morris Minors. As it has not failed then I have respect for your conversion . It looked simple but would have been a lot of work. The level of engineering looked great. I suppose it would have to be stronger if it was on the front.

    I have 6 of my own cars I am trying to work on!

      The pictures are work in progress photos(great finish on the housings ), but they are a couple of years old.

      On the front a conversion like this is probably not a good idea since the front is about twice as heavy.

      6 cars? , I've got 3 and that's more than enough for me

        You're sensible Roger,

        I have 6 Morris Minors ranging in age from 1949 to 1970. One of which is a brand new shell for the Traveller ( woodie estate),
        1 4X4 Mondeo
        1 Coupe Quattro 20V ( S2 shape)

        Looking at the rear hub carriers I see that you and a lot of the Northern European S2 drivers suffer from Suspension arm corrosion. I am currrently sand blasting and painting some S2 hub carriers to go on my Coupe quattro 20v. I'm changing to 5 stud hubs, A8 disks and Porsche calipers.

        I will be swapping to S2 rear disks and keeping the original calipers with hard pads.

          Can anybody help me with this measures (See Picture)

          If D1 = D2 and d1 = d2 I should be able to swap them I think,

          so far I got a response for the RS2 drivesafts:
          D2 = ca. 2.5-2.6 cm
          d2 = ca. 14,5 - 15 cm

          Any help very much appreciated

          Cheers,

            Hi rafeal,

            Yes you have to swap the outer rs2 cv joint to the S2 driveshaft. I've measured the diameter of both, and to me they look the same.

            Has anybody a clue what handbrake cable to us? Is that the RS2 handbrake cable?

            cheers

                  You can use the RS2 cabel, but because the calipper are moved to the front instead of upper-rear as on RS2, the cable is too long and has to be routed a bit strange. My cables crosses under the diff Not the best solution maybe, but it works. If anyone find a shorter cable that fits, please let me know.

                  Cheers

                        Okee, update.

                        I ordered a set 993 biturbo front disks (322 x 32 mm), rs2 handbrake cables, new tyres on my rs2 cup-wheels. The only thing I need now are the rear brake pads. Has anybody a porsche partnr of that?

                        cheers

                          Check your other thread for part number

                          Are you going to use 322 x 32 mm discs on the rear? Which calipers?
                          What are you using on the front?

                          I think they are a bit extreme they will never work even to 60% of their ability and they weight more than the 299x24mm of the RS2, you can get 299x24mm cross drilled discs from Audi and then use RS2 rear calipers or Boxster S rear calipers (monoblock design)

                          993 twin turbo used 322 x 28 mm disc on the rears and 322 x 32 on the front.

                          If they are for the front, they do not have the same offsets as the 322x32mm discs from Audi I have two 993 twin turbo brakes on the garage doing nothing for this matter.

                            Yes, I ordered them for the front, because I'm using them with the rs2 hubs at the front and the biturbo bigbrakes. You say they don't fit? Aren't they the same as the audi rs2 bigreds disks?

                              They are the same on the outer part of the disc (These are two-piece rotors) the center part (the "hat") has different height (distance from where you place the bolts to the disc surface) on the Audi RS2 than the 993 twin turbo so they don't fit with standard items. You could buy these and have custom calipers carriers that correct the offset difference or buy the much more expensive discs from Audi and keep standard parts (I suggest this option).
                              So don't make my same mistake and end with two front discs on the garage

                              Calipers can be bought throw Porsche but remember the 993 twin turbo has the calipers placed towards the front of the car and the RS2 has them placed towards the back of the vehicle. So you have to mount them upside down them. Just remember the left must stay on the left of the car and the right on the right. Many experts here can tell you how to do this correctly but is very simple.

                                They are not the same. The 993 tt has 5 mm less offset(72 vs 77mm) The big reds are 911 turbo(2?) with cast bells. 928 GTS/S4 also have the 77mm offset that the RS2 have, but not sure if they are 322x32 and "drilled"(cast holes ).
