The fronts fit without any modification, the rears need the crossover tubes swapping over.
The down side to using rears is that you have a caliper of the same size (as the fronts) with smaller pistons, but they are still a dramatic improvement.

front calipers are designed for 28mm (you can squeeze 30mm in just)

rear calipers are designed for a 24mm disk (maybe you could squeeze 26mm in there???)

rears probably wouldn't be any good on the front of an S2...... but might just do the job on my Corrado!!!

Auction is now @ £430..... not a huge bargain any more anyway......

          Whatever you want?

It is only a double x service though, nothing triple!!!

I try to stay with using Porsche Monoblock stuff, but recently I have been tempted from the darkside

I'm interested in upgrading my brakes. Could you help me locate some RS2 calipers at a reasonable price. Saw your car on S2 Power.com. Very Nice. It's a wolf in sheeps clothing! 300bhp+?

            Thank you for your help.

            Regards,

            Mo.

Mo, the RS2 caliper is a modified Porsche 968CS caliper. You can find them at Porsche breakers. These need to run with 304mm disks. The best option with this is to have the disks turned down and then rebalanced. you will need RS2 caliper brackets to mount the calipers on. Additional items you will need are RS2 hard brake lines.

The RS2 calipers are 2 x castings which are bolted together. There are problems with corrosion causing the pads to jam. This type of caliper was replaced by the Monoblock caliper. This caliper is fitted to the 996 front, the Boxster front or the Boster S rear.

There was a bigger RS2 option which used Porsche 993TT calipers and 323mm Porsche disks. for this you would use 323mm Audi S8 disks

Have a look at the massive amount of detail on the brakes section of the forum. There is more to view if you select go back to beginning on the drop down menu.

Should do those numbers are the rears off a GT3 or 996 Twin Turbo which AFAIK are the same as Boxster S fronts.

Forgot to say - they will need the crossover tubes moving from one end of the caliper to the other. Apart from that should be fine.
