          Cheers for the offer though!

Just waiting the bolts ordered from the dealer then it can go together again. (will be more organized next time haha)

About the impact socket explanation, I just didn't realize they had different names though i was aware of the two types. Thanks for clearing that up!

Impact sockets are made of a different material too. They are usually black, where normal sockets are silver. The impacts are much stronger, hence you can use them on impact guns.

Regarding the carrier bolts, I wouldn't use a breaker bar over an impact. If you snap the head off the bolt, you make life much harder for yourself. BTDT. Not as simple as just sliding the carrier off the leftover stub, disc prevents that. You really need to impact the ******* off, doesn't apply as much force but the impact will vibrate it out.

            Good luck anyway!

I will brink my breaker bar to work tomorrow. If you can get to AP Racing either at 1pm or 5pm then you can borrow it (although I'd need it back for the weekend).
It's only a 2ft bar but it did the job with mine. I did use an electric impact gun on my caliper bolts to crack them loose but if you can get in there with this bar (which i did) then you should be able to undo them.

I can't remember what socket it is but can lend you this too if someone reminds me.

Who do you work for then?

I joined AP only a few months ago. I'm still like a kid in a sweet shop and loving it. And yes... I do get a discount. I haven't investigated what it is yet but all they do for our cars is the brake kit which is a bit pricey athough designed, manufactured and assembled by probably the finest friction product group in the world (who says I'm not a company man!).

Unfortunately no clutch kits are available for I5's which is dissapointing but I keep promising myself to look into it.
