Dunno, never bothered to collect that info, but I will add it. I am guessing probably IE6 because I see it quite often. On the whole IE7 is OK agreed.

P.S. Just to keep on thread, in general, Zimmermanns discs are considered better than the equivalent Brembos. They tend to cast their discs better, meaning less heat cracking - particularly if you are a Chav and want x-drilled discs. They are reported to machine their discs better giving a better braking surface and they zinc coat the hats.

Remember, more expensive is not always better, particularly when the more expensive ones think their name means something special

brembo hats are protected with something Si and the disc faces are covered in a lovely protective wax which smells lovely when it burns off in the first few hundred miles use

What calipers are used with the 314mm disc set up?

CSS has about has much to do with real developing as Michael Schumacher does with your left nut, besides that fact that they both have a useless sibling tagging along for the ride.

In a css compliant browser it works correctly, but ie6 is notorious for not being compliant. It certainly sounds like its doing something it shouldnt be, but either way its a client side method of input control which is ultimatley flawed. You want to use a server side method to be sure your getting what you expect through the script.

          In php its ucwords (string).

The same 996 monoblocks as with the 323mm.

            Noooooooooo no no no no........NO!
Never burn off a wax or oil coating like that as you will impregnate the pads and clog up the disc surface with a wax/pad mulch. You should clean the discs before fitting so that you have a clean metal surface and then complete the bedding-in process I have described on here many times before.

Remember that the main purposes of the bedding-in process are: -

            1. To square up the mating surfaces for 100% contact
            2. To transfer pad material at the molecular level onto the disc (to give the greatest frictional braking effect)
            3. To heat cycle the discs slowly to prevent warping, cracking or surface crazing

            Cheers n

always cleaned off the oil when that was on new discs but left the wax on from memory (was over 3 yrs back) never had an issue and both pads and discs going strong after several track sessions including the ring and 30k miles. Doesn't seem to have caused any issues so far
