    RS2 Big red pads???

I need some front pads for an RS2 with big red kit. Are the pads the same? Looking for DS2500 if available.

    not 100% sure but I think they're different .

At Porsche dealer the textar pads are different for the normal and big reds, so the ferodo ones should be different too

The calipers are larger and use different pads looking at it.

I thought RS2 big reds are essentially 993 Turbo calipers and take the same pads, in which case (and IIRC) the Ferodo DS2500's you want are code FCP891H. I'm sure that someone will put this right if it's wide of the mark.

Well I thought the Big Reds where from the 968 ClubSport or are they the same as the 993 Turbo?

As mentioned above, it should be FCP891H

Looking at a brake pad catalogue (the EBC one rather than the Ferodo one linked to a couple of posts back), there appears to be some sharing of brake pads/calipers between the 968CS and somenon-turbo 993's. There may be a relationship between the 968 parts and little reds.

Audiman -> If you find a good price on FCP891H's let me know as I'm considering this too...

EBC!!! No chance, i want to stop the car.

I did some part numbering on RS2 little reds and big red setups, will make a seperate thread that the mods can use as sticky maybe??

Thanks for all the replies lads, on the phone sourcing DS2500 pads.

Was just looking at the catalogue as it contains some useful dimension information - wouldn't actually use the pads!

Yeah - hence asking you to tell us of you found a good price! I can already get them at £179 including VAT (c. £156 exc).

So I guess the question becomes whether you can go any lower than already available prices and make a group buy really worth it

A second question - which might help get enough numbers - is whether you can do a generic Ferodo pads group buy rather than just for one specific pad model. (e.g. put together a big order for 5 FCP891H sets, 8 sets for 996 calipers, 3 sets for the rears, etc.)

Time for a thread in the group buy section to gauge interest?

I would like some DS2500s for 996 Turbo calipers, but I need them fairly sharpish.
