UPDATE on original post coming soon:
My original post asked how to get a "bolt-on" brake upgrade on an S2 ABY with original 16 inch Avus wheels...
Well the parts are on the way, work being done in November. I'll post full detail of parts, costs and how it worked out on here in Dec.

The calipers in that auction are RS2 calipers, which are the split design. For the 314mm A8 disc conversion, you really need monoblocks from a 996 or Boxster S.
I run a 314mm A8 disc and Boxster S Monoblocks, carried by a machined RS2 (2mm off caliper mounting face) caliper bracket. All under 16' avus wheels it fits no probs with sufficient clearance.Black B3 1990 CQ 2.3E converted to ABY & 6spd. (301bhp) - Now Sold

Porsche Boxster Calipers....
I'm gonna through a "Curve Ball" into this thread.....
I have been out buying Calipers again... Can't resist it....
So Today I have bought a set of Boxster Std Calipers.... Part number 986-351-421 & 422

But cos I am a saddo... No Comments Plz...
I Just had to measure 'em up for the hell of it.... & what I have noticed is that these are very similar to the 996-351-425 caliper in size... They are obuoisly made for thinner discs but the overall sizes are very similar...
Has anyone tried to fit these to an S2?
Are they another option instead of the 996 versions and suit a thinner 323mm, (or a slightly smaller one) disc & maybe give a better clearance under 16" Avus wheels...
I see the mounting hole centers are the same so would they offer up to an RS2 or Bambridge Bracket????
Here are my two Very Technical Drawings on both options...

The reason for using 996/Boxster S calipers is that you can use the 30mm A8 brake discs. If you use these Boxster calipers you've got to find thinner discs with the right hat height and PCD for 5 studs - that could be hard...........
and once you've done that you end up with thin discs with less thermal inertia putting you back in the realm of standard S2 discs so you're not going to gain anything.
Since 996/Boxster S calipers fit fine under 16" Avus wheels with standard RS2 brackets why bother
