Caliper to bracket - currently have standard strength bolts on there which I've been advised aren't a good idea for trackdays...

They should be available from a good fastener supplier as they are a std pitch, it's the brkt to hub ones which are difficult to get because they are a fine thread.

Go on Yell.com and search under engineers fixtures and fastenings, theres loads.

Pity its not the hub to bracket 12x1.5 got about 60 in stock, But the caliper to bracket should be 12x1.75 which are a standard bolt so any industrial/agricultural supplier should have them on stock.even 12.9
              Try ABcomponents :http://www.autosport-bearings.co.uk/

I just bougth bolts 8.8 for my calipers as i bought brackets from Epytec and the thread in them is different then stock rs2 brackets.

It should be 10.9, at least loads of audi OEM brake caliper bracket bolts are this grade.

10.9 is the minimum i would use. 12.9 is obviously better for big brake setups.

Why who has had one fail? I find it hard to believe that a properly torqued stock bolt would ever fail. Ps a high tensile bolt will need to be pulled up tighter.

because all brands use 10.9 or higher?
