Brake upgrade on S2 3B rims??

1, The inside diameter of the alloy nearest the spoke = 35 cm
2, The inside diameter of the alloy at the outer rim = 39,5 cm

S2 6 spoke Avus is 365mm Inner @ Face Plate & 395mm @ Outer Edge..

Seems the only differance is at the face... by 15mm

I cant see any reason why Kev's slimline brackets and the 996 Fronts Calipers with the 314mm disc's won't fit!!!

But I guess someone will have to have a go at fitting them...

I will measure up the 986 fronts V's the 996 fronts to see if the offset from the mounting hole to the center of the caliper is the same...

Really need Kev's input on the 986 mount to see if he has changed the face mounting from the 996 bracket..

What is the approx. clearance between a 16" avus rim and a 996 caliper? If someone knows that it could be very usefull...

you would also need to know what bracket they used to fit the calipers and if it has spacers... Etc Etc...

I know that the Front 996 Calipers, Baimbridge Standard bracket's with the 323mm A8 Discs rub the inside of the 6 spoke avus unless you use spacer's...

When I did mine with Cupra-R machined brackets there was approx 3mm between the caliper and the avus. The distance depends on where the brackets position the caliper.

I have spoken to Kev and he's not 100% certain the slimline brackets with the 996's and the 5 spoke alloys will fit, but he cant see any reason why they won't if used with spacer's...

I have sold 5 sets of the slimline brackets to members using 6 spoke avus wheels and none needed any spacers for clearence, i will contact some of them and ask what clearence they have!

Just to say that the 996 calipers with the slim caliper brackets of Kev + 15mm spacers for clearance are all right with the 5 spokes rims

I have tryed them this week end on the Bugatti and it is perfect for me
