What do you think about EBC Turbo Groove brake on a S2 Coupè ABY?
Hello friends, what do you think about EBC Turbo Groove GD 604 (front) and GD 605 (rear) and Yellowstuff brake pads DP4711R (front) and DP4370R (rear) under a S2 Coupè ABY?
Is a good choice or not?
Thanks a lot!

Exact setup I have on the back of the S2, not had a single problem and after driving robs stock S2 I can say they do make a difference.
Yellow stuff isnt too great when cold though and hey seem to really suffer if you get them wet, more so than standard pads I had on there. Just stay out of fords
turbogroove discs are good if they are the ones im thinkking of. they anre not cheap though. dont touch their standard ones they will either warp disc or pad.

ebc pads are ok on a budget.
Had some standard turbogroove discs once and they warped. No issues with the Black Diamond grooved discs I now use. Used EBC pads too but if it's not for the track they'll never get warm enough to work properly. USe Red. Also had good results with the Black Diamond Predator and Ferodo performance pads too.

personally if you are stuck with a stock setup and trying to get best performance out of it, i'd go with a standard disc and get the best pad you can - seem to remember you can get hold of Pagid blues/oranges/blacks for the S2.
I have EBC Yellowstuff already on front and on rear of my RS2 that have the original upgraded brake system from Audi, so big red on front and original drilled discs on rear, I have test this setup during two trackdays in Monza and I'm happy, so I hope that under the S2 Turbogroove on front and on rear, EBC Yellowstuff on front and on rear and Fischer Dekra pipelines like under RS2 is a good setup too for normally use and also some trackdays, but for trackdays I'm not really sure.
Thanks a lot to all!

TBH you'd be better off spending the money on a 996 setup with plain Zimmermans and some mid-price pads, avoid Textars for track use but they're fine on the road.
Stock brakes will never haul up a 1.6 ton car that well IME. Mine were lethal with Pagid TQ pads!
Zimmerman X drilled are crap, I've had them on various cars and they wear unevenly and eventually crack, you don't really need X drilled unless the pads you run specifically require them due to out-gassing.
Better to get Brembo plain discs, a good quality product at a good price.
