i never had a problem with 2 sets of wheels on my urs4, had bbs splits and some S8 reps both fitted no probs.

so the back of the wheel is hitting the face of the cage yeh? very odd!

just space it mate
when putting the studs in make sure you get a minimum of 5 FULL turns on each stud ok

May I just ask how the engine conversion went for you? Was it a big job? What drivetrain did you use? I'm very interested and had often thought how great this engine would be in a smaller newer car.

to get rid of the horrid UFO setup you need to swop the struts complete for S6 ones with all the tir rods from the steering rack also if memory serves me right, whats one of the reasons i never modified my urs4 for any sort of power and put the motor in my A4 instead!

No need to swap steering arms they are the same. Find some S6 struts and swap them over. Its a pretty straight forward job, i got some complete struts with vgc brakes for £150, couple of hours swapping them over, job done.
You can modify your ufo struts to take hp2 brakes but you need to strip them down to do this so no point really.
UFO brakes aren't that bad if in good condition, but they tend to warp easily and are expensive to replace.

my advice is .. use brake and discks from audi A8 D2 (314mm). like I did...and forget UFO forever.

well what can i say.
never do it again, modded crossmember/subframe, fabricated mounts, one off rad and LOADS AND LOADS of headscratching, took me every day before and after work (in a garage) from january to end of april to complete!

if you scourer the forsale ads there was someone selling brackets for the ufo struts so you could fit a pleasant brake setup,think they were about £100
