    LHD RS2 big brake servo
I got a bleeding brake servo myself lately and so I went for a search about this ATE phantom part or at least ghost as an aftermarket part.
I want to thank Mr. RS2 America Saltinot for the support on the search.

Usually as it's been already covered on this thread theres'nt any ATE part # on the servo.
After a long attempt to source a cross ref on internet with the AUDI # 8a1612099a that got few result (including firstly the one for sale in Audi Tradition shop for 800 and something euros) I was lucky to find in a picture of a demolished RS2 the big brake servo with a plaque on it stating the part # from ATE.

Quality of pic was enough with zooming in for a guess to fill on google which found out this:

    Image coming from here:

So as you can see the part it's in common with the big bimmies where the BMW part # it's 34331161772

Fill google search with the bmw # brought me to this:

    http://bigcoupe.com/phpBB2/viewtopic...22b4b876cd8709

and things are starting to get interesting because eventually you will get to this:

where this american chap seems to do a good work on both servicing (but not for us foreigners) of the part itself but also a good deal for a seals kit.
the tutorial on his picasaweb page it's a fantastic job imho I suggest if you are needing this part to read with attention the captions in the pictures, everything it's covered, well done Mr. Stratton!

If you're wondering about the price for the new OEM part from ATE I'm sorry to say.... that's still ludicrous...

€ 720,00 it's the best price I could source in Italy
Saltinot states that it's cheaper in USA around 600 USD (not of much help where this part it's useful just for the latter RS2 which was never sold in the USA) but hey it's good bit cheaper then in Italy.

    Hope this will help.

    Stefano

That's what I had to pay maybe more. Have to say I have been delighted to have my vacuum servo instead ever since I ditched this stupid system

I went vacuum and got a steering pump from Error. The conversion was a little more involved than expected but was worth the effort. The steering is still the same but the brakes are less spongy and I've not got to sorry about the £1000+ of parts that go bad at 20 years old.

Did the same on my UrS4. The servo was leaking and I swapped it over to vacuum. Converted the PAS pump to only work as a steering pump, took out the plungers for the brakes and closed the hole with a bolt. Works great.
