    £200 a set? Yikes a lordy, that's cheap! Only a 4-stud disc mind isn't it

You use some suitable Audi disks with the MGTF calipers, can't remember the disk thickness as I wasn't looking.

There will probably be some at the national restoration show at Kennilworth on the 31st October. This is the National Agriculture centre in Warwickshire sometimes it is called Stoneleigh.

        Great show.

The phaeton uses brembos and 360mm rotors (heavy at 28+ pounds) i believe.

Unless they are brembo calipers, they are going to be at least 30% heavier and not able to withstand track temperatures.
I`ve got some of those E55 amg calipers and also going to put them on my s2. Did you allready made the brackets to suit them? At least i measured everything but havent had the time to fix the drawings and cnc programs.

            Cees,
I remember you have those calipers too...so huge! You are fitting them with RS4 360mm rotors, correct? I haven't started the brackets yet, because I am trying to source a rotor that I can find easily, without custom hats. The GT3 rotor rings would require custom hats, so those are no longer an option...I am looking for a lightweight two piece. I have a machinist locally that makes 355x35mm rotors with 5x100 PCD for VWs, but I am trying to convince him to redrill a blank hat to 5x112, and then I'll have a source for rotor rings. I'll be working on it over the winter, but I have many other things to finish up first.

Just seen a Volvo R something with a rather flash set of 5-spoke alloys on it, and lurking behind the wheels were a set of rather sleek-looking multi-pot calipers, front and rear. Design-wise they look quite compact, bit like the ones that Mercedes are using.

Got to stop being a brake caliper spotter!

All this reminds of an old 60's song....
