Braided Brake hoses - Avant

I'm thinking of giving my brakes a bit of an overhaul, bacically all but one flexi hose is badly corroded at then ends and have minor cracks on them. They were good enough to pass MOT but I'm not 100% happy with them.

Braided may be an option, can anyone tell me where I can order a goodridge kit or even tell me the part number for the avant?

Get sfs to custom make them any length any fitting and most colours ;-)

They get their arm in a bit for shipping to NI - £18.50 for a set of hoses. Dont list price on the site either.

Anyone ever fitted the HEL kit?

Last time I fitted braided hoses to a car the didn't sit in the lug on the body right and could rotate (as the ends were round), made me nervous as the joint could work lose over time.

I'm very tempted by the HEL kit, I can get them for £106 delivered to my door. They also do the full colour range. Interested if anyone else has used them?

Nobody seems to do the goodridge hoses anymore. SFS didn't impress me much, they list the part number for the Avant 8 hose kit but I e-mailed tham to ask for a price for it and got a reply saying that they only did the 6 hose kit for the coupe but could make up the extra 2 hoses for the avant (fair enough) but the would only tell me how much the coupe kit was (£81 + vat) so I'm still none the wiser as to the total kit price. Plus they are looking £18.50 to post the hoses where HEL are charging £3.

HEL look like the best option at the moment, just worried about how they'll fit as I've never seen their kits before.

to be honest I've never heard of HEL kits for the S2....so you might be going into new ground...

if you want the details/dimensions for the rear kits, give me a shout

I took a punt and ordered the HEL kit, I'll report back on how good a fit they are once I have them here.

How much was the kit in the end?

Hel kit was £103.50. Not bad considering there are 8 hoses.
