    Cayenne calipers on UrS6

I think i shuld have posted this for anyone who having the HP2 struts.

it's easy but take time if you're doing alone since everything is heavy.

It took 15.00-21.00 fitting the Cayenne Calipers on my UrS6.
that's really tired to do this alone.
-Resized the rotor down from 360 to 352mm.
-Machined 16mm steel bushings to make the caliper sitting right on the center of the rotors.
    -Goodridge SS brake lines.
    -EBC brake pads(taken from V6 3,2 Cayenne 955)
    -Cayenne S 4.5 Calipers.
    -Dot 4 Brake Fluid.
-converted Porsche to Audi pad wear connectors.
-22mm extra longer bolts for Caliper Brackets.
-Grinding slightly inside of the calipers to clear the rotors.
    -Lot of patience.

paid 30bucks for all grinding jobs(rotors, calipers, steel bushings.

What’s the red caliper from ?

Was it the caliper or the wheel that caused you to take the disc down from 360mm to 352mm ?

Are the red and the silver calipers very heavy ?

Torn between the lightness of Highspec alloy calipers / alloy bell and disc

      versus

Large chunky looking brembo Porsche caliper and heavy discs or the new R8 type factory floating discs.

      Thanks.

the reason i resized the rotors down since I'd rather to keep everything simple as much as possible.I can fit the Cayenne S calipers(Silver) with 360mm discs but I need to grinding asymmetrically on steel bushing in oval shape to make the calipers stick farther out a bit for the bigger diameter discs.
Yes as Bo said the red calipers were taken from the 955 Cayenne 4.8L.It's the last model before the 957 launched out.the 957 will be using similar calipars.
they use the same calipers as you've seen on Panamera 4.

nothing.18zr has wider sliding face on the brake pads(72mm) while17Zr has 62mm.Anyway,they're interchangeably.you just stick with 17ZR pads since it's much more easier to sort out the rotor discs.

Any suggestion of brake caliper choise in this matter? Whats the easiest way and cheapest to have big rotors? I have read something about 17zr calipers and merc 330 discs that you bore the center... almost plug and play except that you need some distans of some sort for the calipers.

They will go under 17" i presume, how about 18zr and 345 will they clear 17" ?
Have 19" summerwheels and 16" on winter but thinking of changing to 17" at least... 18" are almost to expensive when you want good winter tyres

345mm will be clear the 17" but not all.You need to verify that.I have seen that Huge red calipers with 360mm under 17" rims.

personally,if you need summer tyre.330mm disc from Merc is your best bet or get some bigger disc from Audi and resize it down.

TTS rotors have 345mm but not sure about the overall heights.it they're similar or even closed let's say 1-3mm then you should be fine

                      to go with that.

It's probably fit under 17" Rims.Never tried it tho.I only have 16,18,19 rims.

345mm dont fit under 17" not enough caliper clearance for thermal expansion
