A less than 100% tuned in member of my C4 UrS "club" (think herding cats) recently bought a set of "small" (not the upgrade) RS2 front calipers and the normal rear RS2 calipers from another club member who had bought them from one of the two local RS2 owners (who had upgraded his RS2 brakes). The recent seller (not the RS2 guy) told the buyer that the RS2 calipers will bolt right up to the buyer's 1992 UrS4, if he gets RS2 caliper brackets and the "right" rotor (but he didn't know what that rotor would be). (I think the seller thought they were the same as the 996tt front brakes that we call "Big Reds", the red version of the black 928GTS calipers that I run on my UrS4 with 323 x 30 A8/early S8 rotors).
When I found this out, I told the buyer that he has been had. I do not believe that they will fit on an UrS4 or UrS6. Or, if the do, I have no idea what rotors will work. I told him to return the calipers and get his money back. I told the seller that he is wrong about RS2 calipers fitting on a C4 UrS (with NAmerican G60 struts) and that he should give the buyer back his money. I saw the buyer at a recent club get together and he says the seller is refusing to do the right thing.
School me if I am wrong on this. (Or confirm that I am right)
Please.
