ok so as per title - problem with my brakes on the s2 avant is - car seems to be doing it for me - if say i stop at a junction and the n pull off the brakes will still be on but if i hit the pedal hard they are released... now i can't find much on the forum about this but one thing i did find was the servo...
anyone had the same problem?
regards!

There aren't many people on here with RS6 fronts so probably not many people who can help with exact experience. But there are lots of problems with the front 996 upgrade due to lack of lubrication. One of the most common is when pads seem to stick and cause a resonating which stops when the pedal is dabbed. This can be fixed by using Ceratec brake lubricant like this, making sure all the runners are smooth and unlikely to cause sticking is important too.
thanks, well i think it's unlikely to be the master or pedal box..
it could be the pads sticking but i'm not sure about that as all wheels are doing it
i was reading about the servo seals - if they are damaged the ''bomb'' can then apply pressure and that's what's causing it...
well i will see if i can check the servo the way a few people have mentioned on here and then see what is what...
thanks for the help guys!

ok so i had a little look today and changed the master cylinder for another second hand one but one i'm 100% sure it's ok... - still the same so i'm guessing it will be the servo...
i shall try changing that tomorrow and see what happens...
i'll keep posting to make it easier for someone else in future...

I'm just guessing here. Did you crimp the flexi lines when changing calipers? Have seen this done where it crushes the internal of the hose causing poor flow/return of the fluid.
f brakes bleed easy then it is unlikely. Did you try freeing up the pads in the carriers etc as suggested. Could be simple as that.
Ok well today finally got around changing the servo.. Much to my surprise it went very smooth...
Everything is back together and brakes are perfect!!!
Hope this helps someone with the same problem! No actually I hope nobody will ever have this problem
