Forgive my stupidity,
but I thought that the S2 Avant didn’t have a vacuum servo, but used the hydraulic force from the steering pump to power the brake bomb to assist the car’s brakes.
Is is the master cylinder that you changed ?

lol - not sure if i've said something wrong now..
well what i replaced was the hydraulic cylinder that is being pushed by the pedal.. - (3 bolts and 2 lines from the bomb) which then pushes the cylinder (2 bolts and 2 brake lines) that bolts onto it - the one with the reservoir...'93 S2 Avant breaking
