  • Dot 5

After fitting my brembo calipers in there new coat of paint some fluid has run down the outside penetrating the paint and causing it to peal off grrrrr

DOT 5 is good cause it does not damage paint has anyone used this on a Audi S2

I have read that it does not provide the same lubrication as DOT 4 for the Abs pump

any help or advice gratefully accepted

    cheers Jamie

the best options; for the boiling temp and so are the "dot 4super" not the same at the dot 4.... but i think it was so the dot 5,0 and 5,1 dont colleckt water, and make the brake calipter rust inside, with heavy brakeproblem... but sutch this forum about this, so you will have the right brakefluid in...

dot5 and dot5.1 are totally different. As above DON'T use dot5.

Confusingly dot5.1 is perfectly fine to use. As above high performance dot4 i.e. racing blue is the best stuff I have found
