I used 993tt callipers cost me £ 500 from e-£ley but vagparts sell them for £500+vat not too bad, discs come from 928gts 322mm and they are direct fit(NOT CROSSED DRILLED)
cost around £ 150 each plus your pads £ 60. I am sure if you start buying standard brakes from stealer it will work out more expansive
    Hope I could help

Looking at this thread it would appear that the rear disc with part no. 951 351 041 01 has the incorrect offset. The RS2 rear discs are no.: 951.352.041.60. - but this part no. is unobtainable from Porsche
So only option for rear discs is to buy OEM Audi part no. 8A0615601C , however can get Zimmerman ones from PW Europarts (01384 565300) at £66.00 plus VAT plus £7.95 P&p. Which is about the third the cost of stealer price.

I will try to make it simple.
If you want 996 or Boxster Monoblocks, there is no disc you can put without any modifications.

I recommend going to the Big reds where you have some bolt on options:
          -Calipers:
          1. Buy them from Audi (here in Spain about 50 % more expensive than from Porsche)
          2. Buy them from Porsche, 993 twint turbo model. Much cheaper, but because on the 993 tt they were mounted in front of the axel you have to swap the bleeding screw from top to bottom (5 minute job)

          - Discs:
If you want a cross drilled one you have to buy them from Audi (they are expensive but straight bolt on)
If you want them cheaper you can get the 322x32mm disk of the Porsche 928, also the same offset but not cross drilled (so a bit heavier)

If you want Monoblocs, you can buy them form Porsche, calipers and disks but you should make your own caliper carriers (somebody in this forum can help you with this for sure) If you plan to keep the car I think this could be a cheaper solution on the long run because disks are much cheaper from Porsche.

My advice, go either for the big reds or if you are going to bother with custom carriers make them to fit the 996 GT3, Twin Turbo calipers and 330mm disks as standard Carrera 319x28 maybe a little small for the weight of the RS2.

          Hope this helps,
          cheers

If I remember correcly the standard RS2 front calipers are from a Porsche 968 CS (but this are black)

Why would you not be able to keep the RS2 carriers with monoblocks ?

He can, but he must machine the disks.

I personally think is simple for the long run to have the caliper carriers made once and use OEM disks everytime they need replacing, thats all

OK sounds like monoblocks with custom carriers maybe the best long term option. What about the rear calipers ? I've had the same noise problem with one of my rear calipers too....

Usually monoblocs are used by standard S2 upgrades (5x112mm bolt pattern) so they buy Audi A8 front disk, 996 monoblocks, RS2 caliper carriers and then they machine disks it down to the correct size, I think 314mm, remember you now have 304mm

They do this because the offset of the A8 disk is the same as the S2 disk.

I don't know if anybody has tried using monoblocs on RS2, but I think it is very unlikely that the front disks from an standard Carrera or Boxster will have the same offset as the RS2 disk. If this was the case you might be able to squezy everything without modifications. But as I said this is going to be very unlikely.

                        Cheers,
                        Rafael

The rear is very difficult because of the odd setup.

If you look at your rear calipers it looks like they have the "carriers" as part of the caliper.

This is what I have been thinking to do.

Rear rotors are 299x24mm and you have to buy them from Audi as they are one piece and with a unique offset.

996/Boxster S rear monobloks use 299x24mm discs also so a caliper carrier could be made for this calipers. I think the custom job + the Boxster S rear calipers are going to be cheaper than original calipers from Audi.

Let see what people think of this.

That's exactly what I am doing...custom carriers for 996 rear calipers back there. As for the rotor, I will be running a 312x25mm rotor back there. I should have it all fitted once temps go above freezing again, so in less then 2 months.

Have you got any technical drawings of your custom carriers? Or would you be willing to run up a batch for sale?

Do you think that Big Reds would be any more likely to resist the corrosion problem though? They are the same basic construction as far as I am aware.
