I am interested to know which porsche calipers will fit as direct exchange for present front ones.
I have searched and read many a thread however most cover bigger brake set ups.

I dont need recommendations that involve 'better' specs.

Just info such as 'porsche boxster 1996 front is direct exchange etc'

The plan is to go down this line in the future with a more modern caliper to avoid some of the well recognised issues with alloy 'corrosion' build up that occur.

    Thanks
I would reccomend qrsport brake solution caliper set ups 315mm or 330 powervane rotors an excellent braking soution excetional performance and sensibly priced will out brake most
    kind regards

something i would like to clarify...you can only get the rear discs for the rs2 drilled(299x24)from audi alone?Porsche does not sell the same rotors with the offset that rs2 needs? Also since i am near in reaplcing the rear drilled rotors for my rs2,where can i find the replacements besides audi?
            cheers

I remember somebody posted a word document with all the Porsche P/N for the RS2 brakes and it was possible to buy a porsche part number much cheaper.

I have been trying to find the thread with no luck.
I might have the document around.

If you find it please reposted.

              Cheers
PS I read it late and pay to Audi the stupid quantity they ask for these rotors.

                  Quick question chaps

In the process of buying an RS2 at present, still kinda unsure as to whether its got BigReds or not.

The car has non-drilled discs - is this possible with Big Reds?

                  Cheers

                    Just to add...

I presume genuine Audi discs for Big reds would be drilled too?? Discs were previously replaced at main dealer Links Audi, Macclesfield.

                    Cheers

Thought someone might have come along with a definitive answer. In reply to your first post, not sure if the 322 mm Porsche disc comes normal/vented, or only cross drilled. My discs on the front are from Audi and are cross drilled.
On my previous RS2, I had the standard 304mm discs/calipers up front. These were also replaced and were not drilled.
This has probably confused matters more now

                        If all genuine:

                        Non drilled: Standard 304mm system
                        Drilled: Big-Red System

You can get non-drilled rotors for Big-Reds from Porsche (964 Turbo I think, is all in the link a bit higher in this thread)

                          Chaps, thanks

as the parts were fitted at a dealer, i presume it hasnt got Big Reds after all.

the receipts have the Audi part numbers on them, that should confirm once and for all.
