I had green stuff pads on my mini and they wore out in 3000 miles and covered the wheels in dust. They were ok otherwise, but nothing special. I have red stuff ceramic on my TVR and they are the best brakes I have ever had, I never had a problem with them when cold, I'd highly recommend them.

Why not just upgrade the fronts to Focus RS discs and some Brombo's from a 7 series BM ? A bit of machining to the discs and some nice custom brackets and away you go

It may not be your cup of tea at the moment but if/when you decide to play around with the V6 lump you have a good upgrade.

I was going to go down this route with my 2.8 CQ as I did not want to change my hubs to S2 in order to fit bigger brakes. I could not bear to part with my Azev's

G60's are not that bad ! But there not brilliant either and do not install much confidence for 'spirited' driving.

      Just a thought...
For what this cost me so far I could have bought an S2

Spirited driving and an auto box dont really go hand in hand mate, let alone a cabriolet with all the scuttle shake (although this is better with the hardtop fitted and that only happens when the weather is crap in winter...)

I see your point about upgrades and although I want to make the cabrio as best as possible, I have enough headaches with the track TT, I quite like plug n play for the cabrio if I am honest.

I love your Azevs as well, the reason I have brocks is because I couldnt find azevs :-(

Did a quick check on ebay de and found these. A more exhaustive check may find cheaper.

            http://www.ebay.de/itm/TEXTAR-Bremsb...item5665827047

I also found RS2 textar for Euro 93.90 which suggests the 2.8 price is high but then those RS2 pads do loads of 911,s 928,s etc etc so economies of scale might be making them cheaper.I don't know??

Type in.......audi 2.8 cabriolet textar vorne........

            or a combination of.
