UrS6 - New Brake Cylinder needed for 17z or 18z Calipers ?
- A8 W12 360x34mm discs from Zimmerman ( machined to 354 mm )
- 55mm new screws
- 16 mm spacers to place the caliper centered on the disc
- 450 mm lines from HEL
It was plug and play , a 2 hours work for both sides !
i have the 18Z also with 360mm A8 discs. some people (like me) here use thuppu's adapter for it. fits very good. you only have to machine the ufo hubs a little bit that it goes in the disc.
i have the original UrS master brakecylinder
but i wouldn't use zimmermann discs, they're bad quality and can't handle the heat if you're driving fast. especially on german autobahn
i did a brake swap on my b2 with 8 piston calipers and 330mm disc
i had a long pedal travel with the origional master cilinder(22 mm) and convert it to a doubble vacuum booster from a rs4 b7 with master cilinder(27mm),problems solved
i know that an s2 have a 25mm mastercilinder so i dont know how this react with bigger calipers
according to the net the urs6 have a mastercilinder with 24mm diameter, correct me if i'm wrong
