You can change the style the forum displays by selecting your preferred style at the bottom left of the site.
We have made an enhancement so that old threads should now link from search results to the correct thread. This is not yet in place for single post links
I was using normal bulbs/elipsoids before and not the previous version of the HID kit, so the difference is amazing.
Pictures? I'll get around to taking some, although I doubt they will show anything much different from the ones Martyn has posted elewhere. I changed the sidelight bulbs for LED's too.
Yeah handy that with the autocheck thing, saves having to dig out the relay and bend the k pin.
I bought the new ballasts to upgrade the old pair. Hope to fit them tomorrow, and recce a spot to relocate the old ones for duties on the foglamps. Then I'll have quattro HIDs !
I got them from HERE , Pete RS2 told me about them, I got the white ones, they are bright bluish white. Bit of a crap pic but I think you can see them well enough.
Sorry to report that I hit a major snag with the upgrade of my old HID ballasts to the new ones in that the new ones do NOT fit the original brackets.
They are the same width but the new ones are deeper. I was tempted to just bend/butcher/bodge the old bracket as it was more than a tad frustrating to have removed all the old wiring just to find this out and then have to refit them.
I'll send a detailed note to MartynF but unless I got a duff pair of new ballasts, then everyone who is upgrading should ensure they get new brackets. I hope to heck the new brackets have mounting holes in the same locations as the old ones or I'll just end up bursting a blood vessel !

My only problem now is, even the Extreme white side lights do not look white enough for the HID kit!!!
