Autocheck With Radio Frequency Display?!

got red plug already now
going to check wiring place avaibility on back of my dash plug.......
got test radio and display
i will be the guinie pig............

as you said there is red connector that goes from instrument cluster to the upper conector on back of radio (there is 3 connectors at radio). conector has 3 used pins, but you have to have radio with DATA output to have messages from radio ond AC display
there is picture of radio conector, you have to connect to DATA,ena and CL pins




ps. : if anyone is inetersted i have for sale gamma bose radio with cd control and ofcourse DATA output :mischeif:

How much for the radio, as I have one, but it is not the Bose version and therefore I suspect that it does not have the data output...I will check this lunch time.

Also, could you post a pic of the rear of the unit please

hi!
if your gamma look like (visual difference is only BOSE label and MODE switch) you have DATA output!
at the moument i am unable to take picture but if you will need it remind me after week and i will take it for you!

I had one in my ex B4 V6 but with bigger display its thrown some where but i never find an audi fited with one like it or on ebay..... , its the same as the one valjo have but CD instead of casset

brown/grey goes to V94.............central locking pump

OK, time for a dumb-ar$ed question then.....Why would I want my radio connected to my central locking pump?

I have just pulled my radio and I do not seem to have a red plug flapping around anywhere Just the afore mentioned brown/grey wire with the brown spade socket on the end which fits nicely on the male spade terminal on the back of the radio (which looks like an earth strap).

So, what should I do with this brown/grey wire and where the hell is my red connector and the leads that should be in it

Hi all


some good news and bad

wire is connected to central locking pump with control unit for interior light switch off delay and anti alarm system
that is brown/grey.......as stated before from wiring diagram in front of me i thinks it for radio removal???........ if / and central locking/alarm off eg windows open car unlocked ........ if alarm has ****ion removal of radfion sends signal to control unit to alarm???


you wont hAve red plug if your car was destined to be here as prev mentioned................by others.......soi i been informed and from 1991-1992????

but looking on my early 90 quattro.. F reg.....which is at work i do have red plug...........and wires and they go to dash..colour of second wie different but allk three wires from red plug go there


i pulled my radio from my Audi 80 Avant tdi.......a concert radio.and plugged in ............nothing........................going to fetch an old an old Audi a4 gamma radio up from me dad and try it out tomorrow.will let you know

i changed my orignal dash for a S2 DASH..........my auto check screen was leaking on old screen

QUESTION.....till i find old dash...........there are green/whitish with tracks chip????.. 0n rev counter side part number 441893919 on MINE..on side of housing that comes off..are they all the same???


also at bottom of unit is a little lever with positions1-6................with what loooks like country letters....what they for??




need help fast getting wound up....................not knowing what to do

Just pulled my radio out car

Audi concert
my pins different at rear to diagram shown


i do hAve a data line feed but its in the top row of plugs(old Audis there where 3 small plugs............blue for cd player ----- yellow for options section----green for amp on rear speakers......) think i got last two correct
on newer Audis one big black plug

Tomorrow will have to try out thes pins in OPTION section
will lett you know of any devellopments
