Then get a new seal Jamo, 895 941 119B.Originally posted by JamoThey keep steaming up and the motor in the drivers side doesn't work.
I got both when I "refurbed" my ellipsoids.
That motor can be had from any of the B4 80/Coupe/Avant/Cab etc even a 92 100 has them. 165 941 295.
I got two not so long ago from a scrappy as we found one of my bro's didn't work and the other side didn't even have one

Have you sealed the grommet for the HID feed well enough? One of mine is steaming up because I ripped the grommet installing it and have not got around to sorting it out yet....Originally posted by JamoThey keep steaming up and the motor in the drivers side doesn't work.

I got both from my local dealers. When fitting the replacement motor, make sure the ball on the end snaps into place in the socket on the reflector frame within the headlight before finally twisting it into the locked position.Originally posted by JamoWell blow me with a feather, i was told you couldn't buy the seal as a seperate item.
And i know where theres a Audi 2.3 in a scrappy, raid on! cheers all
i've already replaced the lense on the drivers lights as it had a stone chip.
Also, check the seal isn't kinked when refitting the lense.2001 Avus Silver B5 RS4.

right can anybody give me the definitive answer to this?Originally posted by Alistair Cyup there is a difference - the reflectors control the projection of light on the road.
There IS a lever inside to allow UK drivers to drive on the continent, but this just shields off a section of the beam (rather than re-directing it). Use Left hand drive lights with the lever flipped for UK driving and you'll have even worse lighting than before.
I looked into this before when I bought ellipsoids for my 3B. My Hella stockist couldn't find them in his catalogue either.
Sorry Alistair but according to ETKA the Ellipsiod lights are the same for both left and right hand drive cars is the same so i'm confused (especially as i passed up on some lights for sale!
)
S2Avant can you clear this up for me?Attached FilesComment
