check bulbs and post results, H4's have a 3 prong connection and H1 a single connection.

As once said, Assumptions are the mother of all **** ups...

        So here goes.

My car is 1993 ABY, but was pre mature and did not have time to develop Elipsoidal headlights or Avus rims.

The previous owner retrofitted the elipsoidal lights and I then fitted HID's. When I fitted the HID's I blew a ballast as the dipped would alternate with Main beam UNLESS you held the stalk back a la "FU Flash". This was rectified via the MartinJS lighting stalk wiring mod and everything is now rosy in the HID garden.

I am ASSUMING that up until I changed the wiring that the main beam / dipped beam alternation was a factory feature. It may not have been

All thats going to do is half your lighting power

First thing to do is pull the bulb out and make sure it is a 55w bulb, and also check the H4 is a 55/60w bulb. Some people like to stick 100w bulbs in there and wonder why the wiring loom fries. Should just be a simple matter of re-connecting the wires onto the back of the H4 bulb for full beam then. Can you snap a pic of the back side so we can see what he has done, is there a wire disconnected?
