Anyone had trouble in this cold weather with the washer nozzels? they are suposed to be heated but mine dont seem to work! they dont feel hot but power is going to them & there isnt an open circuit at them, any ideas anybody? do they just not work very well or do they just F***K up & not heat anymore? Also are they expensive to replace , I had a Merc before & they went on it but I declined the £25 each to replace!
Have a good new year everyone!,
cheers,
Simon
I've had the same problem over the past couple of days when its been freezing cold. They do eventually clear but I still find that the spray is pitiful - not even getting half way up the windscreen when stationary. Are there other nozzles that give a better spray rather that the dribble I'm currently getting? Or do I need a new pump?
Nozzles do need replacing after a while. I just changed the ones on my Beamer (they're heated also), and it is like night and day. That would be the best chice IMO...

Check you haven't blown one of the hoses off, that was the problem with mine, still working but no power, half the liquid was going down the drain.
So when do they heat up?, when you use rear screen/wing mirror demister,
just noticed i have these fitted today,
cant say ive ever noticed them working after 18 months of ownership:wacked:
The heated jets are £22+vat each from a dealer! or £13.20+vat each from us. They are not the most effective things!
What Newsh said is SPOT on!! the rigid hose that pushes into the passenger side rubber jet connector is never that tight, so when water meets extra resistance of a frozen jet, the water blows out of that joint!
Not had to 'use' mine yet, not that cold yet down south, so cannot say how effective my original 10 year old ones are, but I'm not expecting too much. The heated mirrors on the other hand pukka!
