S2 3B ECU removal **Chipped Eprom Install*

ok....So I got the 3B back together yesterday after some *extensive* maintenance and new parts and guess what...........its running SWEET as

Just like Audi intended!! (I hope!)

Anyway...boost leaks all gone.......boost is now a solid 10 psi which I believe is correct for stock 3b's...?
Vacuum at idle is 20 in/hg

Car drives perfectly

So I want to now fit the MTM generic S2 chips I bought a while back (genuine ones)

Before I fit them tomorrow Im looking for a BTDT on how the ecu comes out!

From a quick look I can see a gold clip connector and the silver main connector lever....
I pulled that and the main ECU connector would have come out but I didnt want to leave the ECU on its own!

I thought there was 2 nuts that have to be undone but I could only see the wrong end of a bolt as I looked at the ecu!! (eg// its not possible to undo it as its the wrong end visible)

All info appreciated in my quest for 17psi...........(for now :mischeif: )

i took the glove box out, disconnected the main plug and boost pipe and it should slide out IIRC

ok. So I should remove the main connector first after all......
I have glove box out so will disconnect that and boost pipe and hope the sucker comes out easily

I only map BMWs.....
All other maps are professional tuners. Get your facts straight. :mischeif:
