    Help with wires for CC?

    Well,

I just cant find the original plug for the cruise control. So i need to get the wires my self. Is there anybody that have schematics or that can tell me were I can get the wires i need for the CC?
I think it is Speed Signal, ground, +12V (dont know if it needs some special +12V her), brake light. Is this correct? I think speed signal is White/blue, brake light is red/black.

Well any input/help would be nice.

White/Blue for speed signal sounds correct, its a blue plug under the dash. Power comes from the switched circuit on the bottom of the fuse box. This thread might be of some help http://www.s2forum.com/forum/showthr...cruise+control

If you look at the pic in this thread http://www.s2forum.com/forum/showthr...cruise+control i think its the blue plug in the middle of the screen, not 100% on that.

I can get schematic for ABY cruise easily - dunno if its same as 3B ... Mark's post looks mighty useful.

Only problem with marks post is that is an CQ and not an S2. Becuase i have looked very carefully for that plug and i cant find it. I changed the Heater core at the same time so the car was completely dismantled at the front and i could not find the plug.

If there is any chance paul that you can email me the ABY schematics ASAP i would be very happy use audis2 @ lite.invalid replace invalid with dk.

There is one 3 pin connctor for the cruise loom to connect to. It has 12v, ground and speed signal. It's somewhere in the spaghetti. Blue as Mark said. He was only wrong about the power source.

IIRC the power is fed to the stalk where it goes through both pedal sensors finally to the control unit. You also need stalk to control unit wiring and control unit to vacuum pump.
I did it myself some years ago. Not very hard.

Brake light signal is not used by the CC.

I use a C4 chassis 12 pin control unit and already have lost the schematics so can't help you with those.

Well, I cant find it in my spaghetti, and trust me i have looked for a long time

Well i have the schematics for a CQ and it says the CC needs brake light (back/red), Speed signal (white blue), power (blue/black) and ground (brown). And this is also what my CC have so no problems there, I guess there is a difference between version of the CC then.

Yeah i guess it aint that hard when you can find the plug, but it is a bit harder when you have to find the wires yourself.

Sorry Porkkis is right, i was thinking of the heated seats that plugged into the fuse box. Cruise control only has the one plug.

My blue plug has the same wire colours, black/red, white/blue, and blue/black. Forgot about the brown wire, i mounted that to the common earth point beside the door.

Does your cruise control loom have the same plug and wire colours? I got my CC from a US CQ20V so maybe later model S2's had a different plug or wire colours?

Also is the fuse box in the same position on LHD cars or the other side of the car? If its on the passenger side try looking there.

              Mark.

I have the same wire colors.
The main fuse box in the engine department and the other fuse box er both located in the left side of the car. Have looked everywhere but cant find it.
