    more electric window trouble

    Hi guys,
I have a problem with my passenger window.
T will go down, but not go up again.
It is the same from the drivers side switch.
I searched on here and found the likely trouble was the switch on the passenger door, as I could check by reversing the switch. Hey presto, window goes up.....
I got 2 'new' (secondhand) switches from idiotguyaudiparts on scambay, and replaced my faulty one... result... the same.... triewd the other 'new' one... same result... they will all make the window go down, but need the wires reversed to make it go back up again...
Can I ask before I go nuts, do I have 3 faulty switches???
How do I get a working switch...?
    Any other suggestions gratefully received....

OK, I have tried some things here to figure it out, but I am not so good with this stuff...
on the back of the swith on the passenger door there are 5 connectors...
3 on one plug and 2 on the other....
with everything connected as it should be window goes down but not up
    reverse the 2 pin part...
window goes up and not down (pressing the switch for 'down')
if I reverse the 3 switch pins and the 2 pin plug (from 'normal', the window will go up but not down, but by pressing the 'up' side of the switch.
Surely this means that there is nothing wrong with the switch, as both up and down sides work, but not when connected correctly... rather something wrong with the wiring to the switch maybe through the hinge area of the door...?
I would really appreciate any help with this guys....
    Thanks

found the answer...intermittent fault on drivers side passenger window switch, coupled with wiring fault where the passenger door hinge is...
sometimes worked, sometimes didnt... what a sod diagnosing things which occur sometimes but not always...
