The anderson leads are a good idea, at work all our vehicles are fit with them and we have combination jump leads, so it has an anderson plug one end and both an anderson and crocodile clips at the other end--Make life so easy. HERE

Did think that this warranted a new thread so stuck it on the end here.
I've just called Euro Car Parts and they have Bosch batteries for the S2 for £51.70 inc. VAT which is pretty good I thought.
However, the guy was sayign that it's a 45ah battery. This isn't enough is it?

The car is testing my patience today, had to do an emergency wishbone change as the bushes were ************ and now have gone to move it and the battery won't hold a charge!

Should be 64 Ah, 640 cold cranking amps.

            Bosch Silver part number 564 020 064 or 570 146 064

Got mine from GSF 2 years ago for a bit more than that price.

Thanks lads. Iv'e been looing for this answer for ages. As I don't use my 'S' that often, the battery goes flat to, but it's a pain having to lift the seat up all the time. I will buy one of tose conditioners, and see if our electronics dept can come up with a quick jump solution. I will post it up when cure is found.

I know everyone will cringe, but as a temporary solution, I carry a cigarette jumper lead and it works very well. Much easier than taking the kids seats out and making a set of jump leads reach into the back.

You simply park the jumper vehicle beside the dead vehicle, plug the lead into both cigarette lighters and wait a few minutes. The lead is regulated so that it does not overlead the cigarette lighter circuits in either car and after a few minutes you will have enough juice to start even the flatest of batteries

I have used this a couple of times to good effect but long term I still like the idea of a pair of flying leads in the boot for conditioning/jumping.

                Cheers n
