They used to but they moved to a new building and changed policy, it's only 5 minutes from my work place.
I'm quite lucky with a VW & Audi right next to each other, prefer VAGParts mind but sometimes speed is of the essence!

Part number is 01E 941 521 It's a £10 from the local Brum stealer, but they require you to go down and pay before they'll order, bar stewards.Leave a comment:

Managed to get this out what a pain in the ****, but it's not a happy ending, the new one broke on installation with the plastic end coming off :bang:
It's definately the reverse switch the ball point at the end has rubbed flat and and I double checked all the wiring.
Got to order a new switch.Leave a comment:

Has anyone got a serious answer to the question I've asked please?
I just need to know the best method used when replacing the switchLeave a comment:

try bridging the wires that go to the switch first that will test your wiring if they light up you know its the sender at faultLeave a comment:

is that part accessible with the car parked?I think i have the same problem with the rear lights and i havent checked the cables being cut on the rear.I will have a look, but i think the problem is on the gearshaft connectorLeave a comment:

Jamo:
Most likely a corrosion issue on the connector - try to get it out ( might need to use a long screwdriver to depress the locking clip) and spray the male and female contacts with the contact cleaner of your choice.

I know where the reverse switch is but how do you get to the ******?
It's like in the middle of the engine forest!Leave a comment:

Jamo before you get involved in the switch ,check the wires that go from roof to the tail gate, top left as you look at the back of the car, theres a flexey rubber hinge that carrys all the wires to the rear lights ect, pull it back as much as you can and check for brocken or damaged wires,my s6 failed MOT on reverseing lights and and this is whear the problem was,we just connected the wires useing short peice of wire and taped them up,much easier than it sounds, you may have to remove some of the trim ,but it just unscrews. I am sure the s2 is the same as the s6,best of luke
