How to Reset Fault Codes / Limp Mode ?

Can I reset fault codes or remove a ‘Limp Mode’ by just unplugging the batter for a few hours?

My car has been in storage for 7 years, And after 4,000rpm on full load, it feel like it’s being held back, not as wild as a harsh misfire, but a mild brrrrrrrrrrrp, so it feels slow... ?
