If the dizzy timing is slightly out it can cause running issues at higher RPMs

Same is true if there is a lot of backlash in the dizzy drive caused by a worn gear or plastic gear about to self destruct! Lol

Was the 18mm rotor tip mounted on to it, not sure what the rotor house brand was but it seemed a bit worn.

You need change or cut down the tip to prevent spark hop

Or use the correct one which is 10mm, but yeah can cut down as well.

Is the dizzy gear plastic or metal?

Been some days since ive been to the garage, I used a magnet on it, it felt like metal but it looks like plastic..
Think I will get the metal gear as well while its dismantled.

Getting the narrow tip from bosch , distributor housing from bosch, got new f5dpor , probably buying magnecor 7 or 8mm leads/wires as well.

Is it worth getting another coil instead of the stock one? Not going to run high power levels for now though.
