Its not plug and play ,, its only MAXXECU. How does it work , the speedometer and rpm ? What does it read from original ?

VSS you set up as a low side DIN input.

Update ,, the speedometer works on the dashboard on the car , but not the RPM . There is a sensor mounted on the flywheel so i guess that there is where the RP comes to the RPM gauge on the dashboard ? Correct ? Or where doea the RPM come from on the dashboard ?

The tachometer on the dashboard reads from what ?

It is supplied the signal from the ECU. On MaxxECU this is normally GPO8 which is capable of 12v PWM - with S2 this is simple 12v pulse with 50% duty cycle

I have problem aswell, don’t remember if i had it before my Maxxecu. But my rpm needle is erratic and sluggish. I watched the output data and the tachoaoutput flickers from 0 to 100%. Is that normal Alex?

the values are correct so where to look? Bad cables in the car or bad leads/components in the actual tachometer?

                cheers

I would first check the long contact pins in the instrument cluster - you know the ones which connect to the circuit board? They can get a little oxidised and cause problems with instruments and Autocheck

Allright, the green contact is for the tacho and pin 12 is for the rpm signal from what ive read. Have sprayed every socket i can find on the harness with oxidcleaner and cleaner plus air to have all cleaned. No luck ?

Have checked all the splices in connection bay area around passenger kickpanel with no luck. Maybe i have missed something. Everything else works fine. The only thing i have found is two kinks on the engine harness (rpm g22? Splice) the black cable has two vite marks in it so you can see the wiring.

you don’t do a engine harness for my var Alex ?

I should be able to just connect GPO8 to to the speedometer .. correct ?
But on what PIN on the speedometer ?
Where can i find the schmatics for the speedometer ?
