The relays block the autocheck from reading whether the headlights are on or off. I believe you will still need to modify the relay board relay. Everyone has there own thing. I just don't care for the looks of the DEs. But that is why everyone's car is different. And that is good.

VAG parts is quoting the headlights right now. Alex is out of stock and did not offer a date for the next shipment. I am also not sure about the look of the DE lights...
I will have to look at some pictures and decide.
How about a picture of your car Greg?

    Thanks

Picture as requested. Shows the headlights the best. And you can look at Miktip sig on Audiworld for the DEs.

They can have my car when they pry my cold dead fingers from the steering wheel.

David don't be put off by the mention of the autocheck system. there are Good simple instructions on how to fool the autocheck system on
http://20v.org/light.htm you shouldn't have a problem with the autocheck system with the DE headlamps anyway unless you go to higher wattage lights, some HID systems can cause this fault as well.

I just need the time to sort the high wattage loom, autocheck bypass, porsche brakes, lowered seat modification..... etc. AAAARgh

You can also try getting the RS2 lights from Nick at autox.biz He has them for $565 shipped I think. (Check his website)

Or go with the H4/H1 lights from Blau. They are 199 each through them.

Nick seems to have the best deal. $565 shipped with bulbs for the DE lights accordingto his site!

Blau has H1/H4 lights for $233 each.

I will be surprised if the VAG guys can beat that! Paul, Martin? The challenge has been issued.

There is more to buying from a vendor than just price. Some folks actually help in other ways.
