I know, mine went twiceOriginally posted by Doug_RS2
Next question - is it always the left hand fog that smashes? I could do with a replacement - and even a left hand indiator - Anyone? I don't want to pay silly oney for them just now.
thats why i went for the cheaper brake ducts... There is a place in Luton for Audi parts (don't know the name) who sells the fogs for £60. I think they are £90 from anywhere else.... BTW i do not know if Vagparts do them....

Lee,
I got them from here , the lamp that they come with is ***** though, although it is a Hella lamp and an original Porsche part, it (the lamp) has no reflector behind the bulb and the bulb itself is only 4 watts and one of those long types that fit into courtesy lights.
They are just marker lights, and therefore just for show, which is no good to me.
I too like the extra peripheral illumination that my old 'fogs' gave me, so I will be replacing these Hella marker lamps with the PIAA 002X driving lamps here as described in the link I gave earlier.
Maybe I am a bit dim (no pun intended
), but what is the difference if any between Fog lamps and Driving lamps, if any?
Other than picking my nose, I dont have that many bad driving habits and consider myself to be a conscientious and couteous road user, but I will probably continue to use them in a considerate manner, only when I feel that I need them.
Heres a pic of the ducts Lee.
P.S. I have them and the RS2 bumper on the car now and although I don't normally get excited about 'styling', am really pleased with the whole thing and think that it really looks the 'dogs danglers', I'll post some pictures in this thread soon.Attached FilesLast edited by Mark Halligan; 8 February 2004, 21:25.Mark - ModdedComment

Link doesn't work for meOriginally posted by GlynRS2
Mark,
Following your link on the 993 RS Turbo Foglights I came across a link to this link : http://www.carnewal-europe.com
Cracking intro, don't skip it
I'm with the occasional users, very handy for the extra peripheral.
Not that that other "grumpy old men" stuff isn't funny though
Fog lights throw short low and wide, the idea is to get under the fog and light the road a bit without blinding yourself with the headlights by lighting up the mist. "Driving lights" are spots, long throw, narrow beams for lighting up the distance when going "quick".Comment

Oh yeah this mod looks way cool, you have to have an RS2 bumper though to do it, right?Comment

I know one of your bad habits - Shall I tell everyone which side of the road you drive on, in this country?

OK, took some pics before work this morning, I have ordered the PIAA 002X Extreme white 'driving lamps' as these are a direct replacement for the original Porsche/Hella one's.
I have an early ABY that came with the H4 type headlights, the next thing that I will do is get some Ellipsoids and fit Martyns HID kit to them ( I know that he does a kit for the H4, but I like the Ellipsoids).
