Fuel Pump noisey

I've noticed the fuel pump in my 20v coupe is quite noisey - i can hear it wirring away quite loudly in the back - is that normal or could it be on the way out?

Can be caused by a dirty filter, change that first and see if it improves.

If at worse it is/does go 20v.org say how to change it, its not that hard to change as well.

I use to have a 200 turbo avant, and the fuel pumps was so noisey but it worked fine i tried to clean it out and changed the filter but did nothing it was just a noisey ******! if it ain't broke dont fix it!

Never seen a pump fail but i have replaced a few that got noisey. As the tank gets near empty they tend to get louder.

i had same issue in the past , it just make noise but it works fine as well i changed it with brand new one from bosch 100$ or 90$ it was quiet cheap , but noisy doesnt have any other effect except if it lost it pressure.

well i just filled up and its a lot quieter now

not to self - don't be so pikey and keep more fuel in it

IIRC because its submerged in the petrol that keeps it cool so that in hot weather it don't overheat. The petrol would also dampen the noises as well
