I have a '94 S2 Avant which has a VDO "Comfort lock" remote central locking system. I locked the car last night (or at least I thought I had..) and now the central locking won't secure the car. What makes it worse is the door locks appear to be disconnected, so I can't lock the car via the lock barrels with the key.
If I push the plunger down on one of the doors, the central locking doesn't activate, so I can't even lock the car by pushing a plunger, exiting the car via the boot and locking the boot manually.
If I push the lock plunger down on my 80 Avant the locking activates and locks all the doors, however I don't know if the fact that the lock plunger doesn't activate the locks in the S2 is down to the central locking mechanicals not working, or that something may have been changed with the mechanisms as the door locks are disconnected.
Does anyone have any ideas on where to start looking? I've looked in the driver's door for wire taps to the central locking and I've found 2 taps but neither appear to be to the locking wire that I know about (green/blue).
I guess for now I can lock all the doors manually and climb out through the boot, but it's not exactly ideal for day to day use!
Any help appreciated
